Dear friends,
I will be in the process of moving my artworks across to my new DA account, bettinawalsh.deviantart.com/ , over the next week, simply because I have found many people say the spelling of this account name is too confusing, and it is simply just so much easier to look for a name they recognise. As I am looking to move into a more professional line of art as well, I feel this will keep things simpler and streamline searches a lot more. I will contact my watchers and friends individually to let them know where I've gone, anyway.
I am also closing my wordpress blog due to journal and art theft, which seems to be occurring a lot these days.
Thanks for all your support and encouragement. <3

Studio Name(?)
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking seriously for the past few days of setting up a new devART account; a professional one to display strictly my painting and illustration work. I've been looking through the art I've submitted under this account, and I don't want to delete any of it - my sketchwork and drafts are important to me as well! However, the name Faelenath doesn't particularly mean anything and I want to create a studio name for the future - something unique that will last and reflects my style - when I take more commissions and set up a business. Any suggestions? My brain is hurting. xD
'The Voyage' finally sets sail!
Dear readers,
I'd just like to thank everyone who attended the launch of 'The Voyage' last night to support Zenobia and myself. It was an amazing event filled with fine poetry, fine music, fine wine and fine dining. Zenobia's poetry reading was simply inspiring, and it established the mood for the entire evening.
I was surprised just how many people came up to ask me about my work, my influences, and my aspirations throughout the night. I have never before been the person who was asked questions, instead of the one asking them! I particularly remember one lady who came up to talk about the fourth illustration in the book (The Drowned Corrid
An Interview with Art Libs
When checking my deviantART inbox the other day, I found a note asking if I would be interested in allowing my art be featured on the Art Libs blog, along with a set interview. I was very honoured and thrilled, so I've responded with my answers! Please take a look here: http://artlibs.blogspot.com/2009/04/faelenath.html . Check it out, I've read the other interviews from the other featured artists, and it offers some great insight into the life of an emerging and established artist.
One week is surely not enough!
Afternoon, friends!
I hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend. I haven't been able to bring myself to launch much into the chocolate just yet; I have a wretched flu that's robbed me of my voice and left me feeling sad and sorry for myself. What kind of person falls ill over the holidays, particularly when they have a lot of catch up work to do?! Thankfully, I've been keeping myself busy working on a new ink illustration (between sleeping, of course!) which I should have finished before Sunday. It's a competition piece from a world beyond dreams; I'm actually surprised at myself, because before I worked on 'The Voyage' series, I hadn't co
